Prof. Murat Tekalp ranks 1st in Türkiye for Computer Science

Prof. Murat Tekalp of College of Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was ranked 1st in Türkiye for Computer Science by Guide2Research in its 6th edition of the annual ranking for top scientists in the area of computer science and electronics.
Prof. Tekalp was also ranked 509 among 6000 scientists worldwide.
The ranking is based on h-index (79), citations (22,749) and number of DBLP documents (315).
An IEEE Fellow in 2003 for contributions to digital image and video processing, Prof. Tekalp has been working as a faculty member at Koç University College of Engineering since 2001 and conducting his research in the areas of digital image and video processing, including video compression and streaming, motion-compensated filtering, super-resolution, video segmentation, object tracking, content-based video analysis and summarization, 3D video processing, deep learning for image and video processing, video streaming and real-time video communications services, and software-defined networking.
