Dr. Ertuğrul Başar has received the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Best Young Researcher Award for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region. This award is given to young researchers below the age of 35 due to their outstanding research activities in the field of interest of IEEE ComSoc since the year 2010. Dr. Başar is the first young researcher from Türkiye receiving this award from IEEE, the largest technical professional society of the world. We congratulate Dr. Başar for this very well deserved recognition and wishing him continued success!

Dean of Engineering, Prof. Özgür B. Akan, has received the prestigious AXA Chair, given by AXA Research Fund, representing the first time such a Chair has been received in Türkiye. Prof. Akan received this award for his proposal titled “MI-FI: Micro/Nanoscale Transceivers for Wireless Molecular Information Communications”.
